A note from Bishop David Holdridge: It is now 36 years since I preached my first Sunday, November 1, 1969. My topic was Elijah and the God of miracles. I am still looking for the miraculous in our churches but history will show that I have never been one to go chasing after the latest manifestation reported here or there. I have been known to drive for hours when I hear about a real miracle: God pouring out revival in some small, out of the way church in God's own sovereign way- without undue promotion, hype, or razzle dazzle. I had heard about the manifestatertions in Toronto and elsewhere when I invited a young evangelist by the name of Dr. Daniel Storrs to minister at our church in Kentucky. He stayed with us a few days and then I took him to meet a couple of pastor friends: Evangelist Jeff Carter who ministers in Madisonville, Kentucky, and Pastor Brian Bivens, who was in Morganfield, Kentucky at that time. Pastor Bivens now pastors the Church of God of Prophecy in McHenry, Kentucky. Well, Pastor Brian invited young Dr. Storrs to minister in a Wednesday night service and the meeting continued for weeks attracting some national and international notice. In the course of the meeting people kept seeing feathers that were seemingly coming from heaven. I let people know about the meetings and the manifestations through this website and received calls from friends who wanted to know if I thought such things were from God. I replied that I thought God could do anything he wanted to. Last year I met Pastor Ntumba Cienda Ruth. Several of us had resolved to claim the gates of Dallas for Jesus and to this end we met one morning at the home of Pete Schneider of the Dallas chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen. Brother Schneider and his wife, Pastor Herman Martir of Nations Worship Center in Arlington, Pastor Ruth and I paused for prayer at the Schneiders' before staking out the city for Jesus. While we were praying, Pastor Ruth showed us one of the angel feathers that she regularly sees during her prayer time. At the end of the day, as I was preparing to return home, Pastor Herman called my attention to a large flake of gold on my hand. Pastor Ruth has many manifestations in her meetings, like the tiny toy globe represnting global outreach that appeared at the feet of Rev. Patrick Huck at a Friday nite prayer meeting at Pastor Herman Martir's church, Nations Worship Center in Arlington, Texas. I also have seen the manifestation of angel feathers during dedication week at Bishop Richard Young's Chosen Vessel Cathedral here in Fort Worth this past July. I told Bishop Young about this, but its really not too remarkable compared to the manifestation at the dedication of King Solomon's Temple where the priest's were not able to remain standing. Remember God's own words: "I changeth not."
